Tottenham and Juventus submit offers for 28 year-old with highest bid revealed
Tottenham and Juventus have both submitted offers for Marcos Senesi, who is expected to leave Bournemouth as a free agent when his contract expires this summer.
The Argentine defender is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning Bournemouth will lose him for nothing—just 12 months after selling Dean Huijsen and Illia Zabarnyi.
Senesi’s next move
Earlier reports suggested Senesi preferred to remain in the Premier League, but the player clarified this week that isn’t necessarily the case.
“I don’t have a preferred league. I do like playing in the Premier League and enjoy the competition, but I’m open to moving elsewhere. I’ve told my agent to let me know when there’s something concrete.”
That could disappoint Tottenham, who were hoping to strengthen their defense on a budget this summer by signing both Senesi and Andy Robertson on free transfers. Interest from abroad may complicate their plans.

According to journalist Mirko Di Natale, Senesi has two formal offers: one from Spurs and another from Serie A giants Juventus.
However, Juve’s four-year proposal doesn’t match the salary offered by the North London club, which keeps Roberto De Zerbi’s side in pole position.
Senesi, praised by BBC’s Danny Murphy earlier this season for his “phenomenal distribution from the back,” has earned three senior Argentina caps. His ability to pass through defensive lines has helped him register five assists so far this season. The decision on his next club is now his to make.
De Zerbi: Spurs good enough to avoid relegation
Meanwhile, Roberto De Zerbi has warned Tottenham’s relegation rivals not to write them off—and insists there will be no complaining about their mounting injury problems.
Spurs ended a 16-match winless run in the Premier League with a victory over Wolves on Saturday, but the joy was short-lived: Xavi Simons (knee) has been ruled out for most of 2026, and Dominic Solanke is also sidelined with a hamstring issue.
Ahead of Sunday’s trip to Aston Villa, De Zerbi opened his press conference with a four-minute speech about shutting out negativity, reiterating his belief that 18th-placed Tottenham can survive.
“I watched you this week,” he told a Sky Sports reporter. “I want to be clear. The biggest challenge now is to silence the negative voice inside us—inside the players, staff, and fans.
“That voice says, ‘We’re unlucky, too many injuries, we lost Xavi Simons who was one of our best players, our medical staff isn’t good enough, the pitch is bad, we can’t win two or three in a row.’ That’s all rubbish.
“We’re facing one of the best teams in the Premier League right now. We have huge respect for Emery as a coach, but if Tottenham win at Villa Park, it won’t be a miracle. Maybe we lose—I don’t know—but we have the quality to win.
“I’ve heard people say it’s impossible, that everyone’s crying, that we’re relegated. Not yet. We have to fight until the end. We have to lose the game before we lose the game—but first we have to play.
“We’re two points behind West Ham, and they also have tough fixtures. It’s not our best moment, it’s difficult, but losers cry and think negatively. I don’t want people around me like that.
“We are good enough to win games and good enough to stay up.”
