“Serious Option”- Tottenham eyeing audacious swoop to sign 27-G/A centre-forward seen as perfect fit next summer, according to Fussballdaten.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy next summer, according to Fussballdaten.

Few forwards in Europe’s top five leagues have matched Guirassy’s consistency in front of goal over the past five seasons. After netting 13 goals in his first season at Amiens, he moved to Rennes in 2020 and added another 25 goals to his tally.

However, it was his time at VfB Stuttgart that truly put him on the radar of clubs across the continent. He registered an impressive 44 goals and 5 assists for the club, playing a key role in securing Stuttgart’s first Champions League qualification in 14 years during the 2024–25 season.

He joined Dortmund in a high-profile move last summer, and the 30-year-old quickly became one of the Bundesliga’s most lethal finishers. His debut season at Signal Iduna Park saw him directly involved in 47 goals across 50 appearances.

The 6ft 1in forward has maintained that form this season, contributing to 27 goals in 45 matches in all competitions.

According to Fussballdaten, Guirassy is now on the radar of several top European clubs ahead of the summer window.

‘Perfect fit’

Tottenham are among the clubs looking to sign the centre-forward, with the report stating that the north London side see him as a ‘serious option’ to bolster their attack next season.

Spurs are seeking a physical, prolific forward and believe the Guinean is a ‘perfect fit’ for the role, although any deal would largely depend on where they finish in the league this season.

Unlike the ‘big seven’ clubs who can sign Guirassy for just £43m, Tottenham would need to negotiate directly with Dortmund, who could demand a higher fee, the report adds.

Tottenham also face strong competition, with Fussballdaten naming Fenerbahçe, AC Milan, and Juventus as interested parties.

On Monday night, Spurs missed a chance to pull clear of the Premier League relegation zone after a 1-1 draw with Leeds United.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin cancelled out Mathys Tel’s opener, meaning only Newcastle United (27), West Ham United (20), and Bournemouth (20) have dropped more points from winning positions this season than Tottenham (19).
