Manager Pierre Sage is actively shaping a squad equipped for both Premier League and Europa League demands. As reported by Sky’s James Savundra, the Eagles have struck a deal for the 19-year-old, with Sage keen to add quality depth during the summer window.
Gozo has drawn English interest since January, when Aston Villa were linked with a move for the attacker. The young American has already turned heads in MLS and was reportedly close to earning a spot in the USMNT’s World Cup squad.
Primarily a wide player, Gozo can develop into a top winger, but The Athletic notes he started 16 games at wing-back last season, notching six goals and five assists. His versatility fits Sage’s system, which often employs wing-backs—making him an ideal fit for Palace’s tactical setup.
With European competition on the horizon, adding depth is a priority. Though Daniel Muñoz has been loosely linked with a departure, Palace intend to keep both the Colombian and Gozo competing for the same role. The £10 million fee secures one of MLS’s brightest prospects.
Sage continues to build a stable foundation at Selhurst Park. Defender Óscar Mingueza has already joined on a free from Celta Vigo, while Takehiro Tomiyasu earned a permanent deal after a trial. Gozo has been given permission to undergo a medical, and an official announcement is expected once paperwork is finalized.
