Vanderbilt football to have cornerback Kolbey Taylor back for its game against Georgia State, coach Clark Lea said on Tuesday.
Taylor missed the Week 2 game against Alcorn State due to an “internal matter.”
Taylor was not listed on the team’s Week 3 depth chart, however. He played during the first half of the season-opening win against Virginia Tech and did not record a statistic.
Other options at cornerback have included Martel Hight and Tyson Russell.
Khordae Sydnor, who missed the Alcorn State game due to an ankle injury, also was left off the depth chart. Sydnor, who suffered the injury in the Virginia Tech game, is questionable for this week, Lea said.
Outside of Sydnor, Vanderbilt has avoided major injuries. Quarterback Diego Pavia at one point entered the injury tent Saturday, but he is fine, Lea said.
The Commodores (2-0) will face the Panthers (1-1) on Saturday (6 p.m. CT, ESPN+) at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta.
