Sources: Everton set sights on 11-goal striker, his club ‘expect’ offers

Burnley are reportedly expecting offers for Everton target Zian Flemming as the transfer window enters its final stages, with growing interest in the Dutch attacking midfielder.

Everton are among several clubs monitoring the 28-year-old and could consider making an approach before the 1 September deadline. The increasing competition for his signature is expected to benefit Burnley, who are now looking to increase their asking price.

The Clarets would prefer to keep Flemming, but sources indicate that the growing number of interested clubs is making his situation increasingly difficult. Lille are also said to hold a “very strong” interest in the former Millwall player.

Flemming enjoyed an impressive campaign with Burnley last season, scoring 11 league goals in just 21 starts despite the club suffering relegation.

Everton Looking to Strengthen Their Attack

Everton have been searching for additional attacking options throughout the summer but are yet to secure the striker they want.

Manager David Moyes is keen to provide more competition and support for Beto and Thierno Barry, with the club having explored several attacking targets. Flemming has now emerged as one of the latest names on Everton’s shortlist following his impressive performances last season.

The Toffees are considering whether to make a move, but time is running out before the transfer deadline.

Everton’s options are also being reduced, with Nottingham Forest reportedly closing in on Chelsea forward Liam Delap. That could force the Merseyside club to act quickly if they want to beat rival suitors to Flemming.

Everton Also Monitoring Marcus Tavernier

Everton have also been keeping a close eye on Bournemouth winger Marcus Tavernier.

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown previously revealed that Everton scouts had watched the 27-year-old on several occasions over the past year.

Tavernier impressed in the Premier League last season, contributing seven goals and four assists for Bournemouth.

However, Bournemouth have no plans to sell the winger before the upcoming deadline, meaning Everton may have to wait until January before making another serious attempt.

Tavernier remains a player highly regarded by Moyes and Everton’s recruitment team, and the club are expected to revisit their interest when another opportunity arises.
