Tottenham attacker Manor Solomon had Premier League coaches speaking to him as he’s on the cusp of joining Leeds United, according to Shay Lugassi.
The Barca Times journalist claims that none of the sides believed he was ready for an offer and thus did not proceed with their initial interest.
The Israel international, 25, is understood to be on the cusp of sealing a move to Leeds United.
Lugassi wrote on X: “There were also coaches in the Premier League who spoke and in the end, he was not ready for an offer. I said in total that Tottenham did not receive an official offer.
This comes after he wrote on 24 August: “Manor Solomon will undergo a medical today at Leeds United.
“This will be a simple loan for one season without a purchase option.”
Leeds United now appear set to announce the Manor Solomon transfer
It appears that Solomon’s move to Leeds is all but finalised.
His medical has been completed [Paul O’Keefe], which is typically one of the last steps before a transfer is officially announced.
The deal involves a season-long loan from Tottenham without an option to buy, indicating that both clubs have likely agreed on terms.
However, despite these developments, there’s a cautious atmosphere among Leeds fans.
The history of football transfers shows that until there’s an official announcement, there remains a possibility, albeit small, for things to change.
This caution stems from past experiences where deals have fallen through at the last moment due to various unforeseen reasons.
Therefore while everything points towards Solomon joining Leeds, the fans’ reluctance to celebrate prematurely is understandable, awaiting the club’s official confirmation to ensure the transfer is indeed complete.
