adminCrystal Palace have secured the signing of Israeli international Anan Khalaili for £21 million, with the versatile winger agreeing to a deal that keeps him at the club through 2031.
The 21-year-old joins from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise, arriving just in time to strengthen Pierre Sage’s squad for their upcoming Europa League campaign.
During his time in Belgium, Khalaili helped end a decades-long wait for a league title and also contributed to a domestic cup triumph.
Haifa talent makes Premier League move
The Eagles confirmed the capture of the attacking all-rounder from Union Saint-Gilloise, reportedly paying £21m for a player now tied to Selhurst Park until 2031.
With 16 senior caps for Israel and the ability to operate both out wide and in defensive roles, Khalaili first emerged at Maccabi Haifa, where he notched 15 goals across 52 appearances and secured the 2023 Super Cup.
His upward trajectory continued in Belgium, where he played a key role in ending a 90-year league-title drought in 2024–25 and added a Belgian Cup winners’ medal last season.
New signing sets sights on success
In his first remarks since arriving in English football, the 21-year-old told the club’s official channels that he is eager to embrace this next stage of his career and determined to make his mark at the top level: “I have followed the Premier League for a long time, it’s a new challenge for me.”
He also voiced a strong appreciation for Palace’s history and made no secret of his ambitions, adding: “And Crystal Palace I like, because I have followed them for a long time. They have deserved to win three trophies and I want to do more.”
Palace reshape their attacking ranks
The move reflects a deliberate and ambitious overhaul by the Palace hierarchy, aimed at giving Sage greater tactical flexibility and squad depth for the season ahead.
Khalaili becomes the fifth summer addition to the first-team squad, following the free-agent arrivals of defenders Oscar Mingueza and Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Attack has also been reinforced through Dwight McNeil, who joined in a swap deal involving Brennan Johnson, while Evann Guessand has returned for another season-long loan from Aston Villa.
