Manor Solomon has long been viewed as a likely departure.
The winger joined Tottenham on a free transfer in 2023 following an impressive loan spell at Fulham. He made six appearances for Spurs, providing two assists against Burnley, but a serious knee injury cut his debut season short. Solomon rebuilt his value during a loan at Leeds in 2024/25, notching 10 goals and 12 assists in 39 Championship matches, helping Leeds secure promotion and scoring a late winner against Plymouth that clinched the title.
Despite that form, Solomon couldn’t force his way back into Tottenham’s plans. He spent the previous season on loan, first at Villarreal and then at Fiorentina from January. He returned for pre-season under De Zerbi, who had previously coached him at Shakhtar Donetsk, and impressed—but it seemingly wasn’t enough to secure a long-term role.
Tottenham agree deal with West Ham for Manor Solomon
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have reached an agreement to sell Solomon to West Ham.
The Hammers will pay £5 million upfront, with a further £2 million in potential add-ons. A medical has been scheduled for today, so the transfer should progress swiftly barring any complications. Solomon is set to sign a three-year deal with West Ham, who also hold an option to extend the contract until June 2030.
For Tottenham, this is a tidy piece of squad management. They stand to earn up to £7 million for a player signed for nothing, while also clearing wages and creating space for De Zerbi’s preferred attacking reinforcements.
Solomon leaves without ever truly getting a sustained run in north London, but his productive season at Leeds showed he can make an impact in the Championship. West Ham are acquiring a winger who can carry the ball, take on defenders, and create chances from the left. For Spurs, the move closes another lingering chapter as their summer reshaping continues.
