McInnes took a number of promising youngsters to Spain for pre-season, with several continuing to train with the first team. Adamson was among those who featured for Rangers during the summer friendlies, but his immediate future lies away from Ibrox.

According to the Rangers Review, Adamson is set to join Raith Rovers on a season-long loan. The midfielder has agreed to move to Stark’s Park after attracting interest from multiple Scottish Championship clubs and sides further south.

Adamson featured prominently in Rangers’ pre-season campaign and even played in the 5-1 friendly victory over Raith—the very team he’s now poised to join.

The 19-year-old impressed during a loan spell at Alloa Athletic in League One last season, and Rangers are keen to replicate that developmental success with other youngsters this summer.

The hope is that Adamson will gain valuable game time at Raith Rovers and return to Ibrox ready to compete for a first-team spot.

Who Else Could Leave Rangers on Loan?

While Adamson’s exit seems imminent, he may not be the only player heading out. Lyall Cameron, despite early indications that he would feature under McInnes this season, could also depart on loan.

Limited minutes in recent matches against Dundee United and Jagiellonia Białystok suggest the attacking midfielder may struggle for the opportunities he desires.
