Furious Rangers boss Derek McInnes confronts ref at full-time

Following Friday night’s 1-1 stalemate with Dundee United at Tannadice, Rangers manager Derek McInnes made a beeline for referee Nick Walsh to voice his displeasure.

The newly appointed Ibrox boss endured a frustrating start to his tenure, but his real anger boiled over in the dying moments when his team was denied a late penalty.

Midfielder Mo Diomande tumbled under a challenge from Emmanuel Agyei inside the box, only for Walsh to signal a goal kick instead of pointing to the spot.

Sky Sports cameras captured McInnes’s look of sheer disbelief on the touchline, convinced his side had been wronged.

Once the final whistle blew, he strode onto the field and engaged in a heated exchange with the official before eventually heading for the tunnel.
