The England captain is expected to hold talks with the Bavarian club this week when he reports back for pre-season, with all sides keen to extend his current terms. His existing deal, reportedly worth £21.5 million per year, has just one season remaining.
According to The Times, Kane will be offered a fresh three-year agreement that would keep him at the Allianz Arena until just before his 36th birthday.
There had been speculation that Kane might consider a Premier League comeback—with former club Spurs seen as a likely landing spot—once he had secured major silverware in Germany. He is still 47 goals shy of Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League record of 260, and many assumed he would return to break that milestone.
Tottenham have long been viewed as his most probable English destination. However, after winning two Bundesliga titles, Kane is now focused on claiming the Champions League and believes Bayern have the squad to make that happen.
Last season, Kane netted 61 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions, bringing his three-year tally in Bavaria to 146. The 33-year-old is also the current frontrunner for the Ballon d’Or, which will be awarded in London this October.
