Spurs Set Sights on Marmoush
Last season was a close call for Spurs, who narrowly avoided relegation, with a lack of goals standing out as a major weakness. Richarlison led the team with 11 goals, while loanee midfielder João Palhinha came second with just five.
According to TEAMtalk, De Zerbi’s recruitment team have now turned their attention to Omar Marmoush. The 27-year-old scored 37 goals in 67 appearances for the German side and had been on Spurs’ radar prior to his City switch. With limited minutes at the Etihad, a summer exit could be on the cards, though he is reportedly keen to speak with new manager Enzo Maresca before deciding his future.
Marmoush Could Be De Zerbi’s Answer
It’s an encouraging time for Tottenham supporters, with the club’s hierarchy showing real intent in the market. They appear determined to provide De Zerbi with a top-tier centre-forward, and Marmoush fit that profile before his difficult spell at City.
Both Spurs and Newcastle are said to admire his ability to operate as a striker, second striker, or winger—versatility that could prove invaluable to De Zerbi, who started his tenure without Dejan Kulusevski and Mohammed Kudus due to injury.
Tottenham have also been linked with Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi, a promising French talent who would represent a bold signing. However, a move for the more seasoned Marmoush may offer a more cost-effective solution to their attacking concerns.
