Tottenham Face Battle for Kolo Muani as Forward’s Future Hangs in Balance

According to a recent report from Tuttosport, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a move to bring Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani back to North London. However, the Premier League side aren’t alone in the chase—Eintracht Frankfurt and Juventus are also reportedly in the mix for the Frenchman’s signature this summer.

A Loan Spell of Ups and Downs

Kolo Muani’s time at Tottenham last season was a tale of two halves. While he showed flashes of brilliance and delivered some productive performances in the final third, consistency proved elusive. Over 41 appearances across all competitions, the 27-year-old managed five goals and four assists—respectable numbers, but hardly overwhelming for a player of his pedigree.

Still, as one of France’s more experienced attacking options, Kolo Muani brings a certain know-how that Spurs could benefit from. The question is whether they can secure him at a reasonable price, with his PSG contract running until 2028—giving the French giants little incentive to sell on the cheap.

Should De Zerbi Pull the Trigger?

From a tactical standpoint, Kolo Muani offers plenty of tools. He’s adept at creating space for shots, possesses good dribbling ability, and has a keen eye for setting up teammates. He can lead the line as a centre-forward or drift wide to either flank, giving new Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi valuable attacking flexibility.

That said, his Premier League form last season left much to be desired in terms of consistency. Still, at 27, the French international is entering his prime years—and with the right system and trust, he could yet become a key figure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

For De Zerbi, bringing Kolo Muani back to England could be a smart piece of business—provided the fee doesn’t stretch Spurs’ budget too far. If the price is right, this reunion might just be worth pursuing.
