Liverpool, Tottenham eyeing summer move for Christian Pulisic

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested in signing Christian Pulisic, the 84-cap USMNT international, from AC Milan during the summer transfer window.

According to a report from Italian outlet Il Giornale (via Calciomercato), the two Premier League clubs are looking to strengthen their attacks by bringing in a wide player ahead of the 2026/27 season. The report brings encouraging news for Liverpool and Tottenham, suggesting that the American attacker’s “fate is also in doubt” as the next transfer window approaches. AC Milan would be willing to sell Pulisic if they receive an offer of around €55 million in the coming months.

How has Christian Pulisic fared at AC Milan?

Since joining Milan from Chelsea in July 2023, Pulisic has revived his previously stalling career. While the 27-year-old showed moments of quality during his time at Stamford Bridge, he never became a key figure there. At Milan, however, he has excelled and established himself as one of Serie A’s best players over the past three seasons.

The 84-cap USMNT star has been solid in the 2025/26 campaign so far, recording ten goals and three assists in 29 appearances across all competitions. But his long-term future at the club is uncertain, as he has now entered the final 18 months of his contract. That situation hasn’t gone unnoticed, with Liverpool and Tottenham among the clubs vying for his signature.

Will Pulisic return to the Premier League this year?

Pulisic has long been on Liverpool’s radar, and the ongoing interest makes sense as the club prepares for life after Mohamed Salah. The veteran Egyptian winger will leave Anfield as a free agent at the end of the 2025/26 season, forcing Liverpool to search for a long-term replacement. Since Pulisic primarily plays on the right wing, he could step in as the new first-choice option there.

Tottenham’s interest is also understandable. The Lilywhites are looking for a versatile wide attacker, having yet to fill the void left by Son Heung-min, who joined LAFC last summer. Additionally, Richarlison’s future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is uncertain. As a result, Pulisic has emerged as a viable target for the North London club.

The €55 million fee Milan is asking for should not be a problem for either Liverpool or Tottenham, and Pulisic—now at his peak—could easily justify that outlay. However, Tottenham may be at a disadvantage in the race for the 27-year-old American, as they cannot offer European football and could even face Championship football next season if they fail to escape the relegation battle.
