Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Carragher was full of admiration for Kinsky, claiming his performance could be a pivotal moment in Spurs’ fight to avoid relegation.
Carragher on Kinsky: “One of the saves of the season”
The former Liverpool defender singled out Kinsky’s injury-time stop to deny Longstaff, calling it “one of the saves of the season.”
Carragher suggested that while the draw may have felt disappointing in real time, the goalkeeper’s heroics ensured the outcome wasn’t far worse for the North London club.
“I think that point will feel a lot better in the morning, when they reflect on the game,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“That save from Kinsky onto the bar from Longstaff—it’s one of the saves of the season.
“He made two key saves, one in each half, and those moments secured what could turn out to be a vital point for his team.”
Tottenham had taken the lead early in the second half through Mathys Tel, who curled in a stunning strike from the edge of the box. However, Tel’s afternoon took a turn when he conceded a penalty 20 minutes later, allowing Calvert-Lewin to equalise from the spot.
That goal breathed new life into Leeds, who looked destined to snatch a winner in stoppage time when Longstaff’s shot appeared destined for the top corner. But Kinsky produced a breathtaking fingertip save, deflecting the ball onto the crossbar.
