“BAD NEWS— Tottenham suffer huge blow as star sustain injury  in vital relegation clash vs Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur’s fight to avoid Premier League relegation has suffered a major setback, as Dominic Solanke was forced to exit their match against Wolves due to injury. The striker, who went down off the ball, was replaced by Richarlison in the 40th minute after receiving on-pitch medical attention.

Since joining from Bournemouth in 2024, Solanke has struggled significantly with injuries, managing only 20 appearances across all competitions this season. He previously underwent surgery for an ankle injury early in the campaign and has featured in just 15 Premier League games.

The injury is another crushing blow for manager Roberto De Zerbi, who is already without several key players as he tries to guide Spurs away from the relegation zone. Tottenham head to Molineux to face an already-relegated Wolves side, sitting two points behind 17th-placed West Ham United.

Since De Zerbi took charge, Spurs have lost Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Mohammed Kudus, Pape Matar Sarr, and Destiny Udogie. The season has been plagued by injuries to key personnel, and Solanke’s latest absence only deepens their survival woes.

Long-term absentees have also included Wilson Odobert, Ben Davies, James Maddison, and Dejan Kulusevski—though there is hope that Kulusevski could return in time for the World Cup.

Speaking before the Wolves match, De Zerbi said: “I feel for him because he was one of my perfect players. He’s very specific to me, like Kudus and Romero. I hope he can play in the World Cup—it’s the best moment of a player’s career. But I don’t know the full extent of the situation yet.”

Kulusevski told ViaPlay: “I haven’t played in a year. I know the odds. But if there’s one person on the planet who can do this, I’d bet on myself. And we’re not just going to participate—Sweden will aim to be among the best.”
