“He lit the place up. This is what Tottenham want. Players like that who can get you off your seat, exciting football,” Redknapp said.

“It is a ferocious left-footed shot there for his goal. Then he thinks I have got another one here. Ball falls to him, sits down the defender, whoops, lovely bit of skill. He was excellent.”

Could Savio thrive on the right wing?
Savio has experience operating on both flanks, giving De Zerbi plenty of flexibility when deciding how best to use him.
According to Transfermarkt, the Brazilian has made 79 appearances on the left wing, contributing 28 goals and assists. He has also played 70 matches on the right, where he has recorded six goals and 10 assists.
However, his left-footedness could make the right wing particularly attractive for De Zerbi.
From that position, Savio can cut inside onto his stronger foot, attack defenders directly and create shooting opportunities, as demonstrated during his impressive appearance against Charlton.
If De Zerbi can continue developing those qualities, Tottenham may have found a player capable of providing creativity, excitement and goals from the wide areas.
His debut was only the beginning, but Savio has already given Tottenham supporters plenty of reasons to believe that something special could be developing in north London.
