Tottenham Hotspur are looking to strengthen their attacking options as Roberto De Zerbi prepares his squad for the upcoming season. With the transfer window approaching its final stages, Spurs are expected to make further moves to address some obvious weaknesses within the team.
Despite spending more than any other Premier League club during the opening part of the transfer window, Tottenham still have areas that require improvement. The club moved quickly to strengthen the defence, bringing in Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Jan Paul van Hecke. Spurs have also broken their transfer record twice, first for Mateus Fernandes and later for Sandro Tonali.
However, supporters remain concerned about the lack of attacking additions. Tottenham struggled badly in front of goal last season, scoring only 48 times across 38 Premier League games. Their lack of creativity and consistency in the final third highlighted the need for significant attacking reinforcements.
The situation is even more concerning given Tottenham’s struggles with injuries. De Zerbi will need stronger options across the forward line, particularly in the wide areas, if Spurs are to compete at a higher level this season.
Tottenham continue pursuit of Savinho
Savinho remains one of Tottenham’s biggest attacking targets. The Brazilian winger has been strongly linked with a move to N17, with Spurs and Manchester City reportedly involved in negotiations over a potential transfer.
Tottenham have been working on the deal for some time, and securing Savinho before the window closes would represent a major boost for De Zerbi’s squad. His pace, creativity and ability to operate from either flank could give Spurs a completely different dimension in attack.
The Lilywhites have also been linked with Chelsea winger Pedro Neto as a possible alternative should they fail to complete the Savinho deal. The Portuguese international has reportedly been on Tottenham’s radar for some time and could provide another option on the left wing.
However, Spurs are not the only club interested in Neto. Reports suggest Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have held talks with Chelsea regarding a potential transfer, while financial proposals have also reportedly been presented to the player.
Savinho should remain Tottenham’s priority
Tottenham should continue making Savinho their main attacking target rather than becoming distracted by alternative options. The Brazilian appears keen on a move to N17, which could make negotiations easier as the transfer deadline approaches.
At only 22, Savinho also has significant room for development. Working under De Zerbi could help him improve further and establish himself as one of the Premier League’s most exciting wingers.
If Tottenham can complete deals for Savinho and Cody Gakpo, their midfield and attacking options could look considerably stronger. The additions would provide De Zerbi with more creativity, pace and goals, while giving Spurs greater flexibility when selecting their starting XI.
For a Tottenham side that struggled to score consistently last season, adding two high-quality attacking players could completely transform their fortunes in the new campaign.
