A medical is said to be the final hurdle before Moore’s loan is officially confirmed—though Spurs have yet to give the green light. The club want their own wide reinforcement through the door first before sanctioning Moore’s departure, meaning the announcement is being held up while both deals are coordinated.

Encouragingly, there’s real optimism on that front. The same report indicates that Gakpo already has a verbal agreement in place with Tottenham, with a £60m bid now on Liverpool’s table. Should that deal go through, it would instantly unlock Moore’s exit.

For the 19-year-old, a temporary move away feels like the right call. Moore spent last season on loan at Rangers, registering seven goals and four assists in 47 outings—respectable returns for a teenager adapting to senior football, and proof that he can handle consistent first-team minutes away from the intense spotlight of Spurs’ senior setup.
