Tottenham fans will love what Heung-min Son just said ahead of Chelsea clash

Tottenham legend Heung-min Son has opened up about the club’s battle against relegation, speaking ahead of their crucial evening clash with Chelsea.

Just a few weeks ago, Spurs looked destined to struggle for the points needed to guarantee Premier League survival. But a strong run of eight points from their last four matches, combined with three straight defeats for West Ham, has put Roberto De Zerbi’s side on the verge of safety. Now, they need just a point from their final two games to all but secure their top-flight status—and one of the club’s all-time greats has shared a message before the London derby.

Son hoping for safety at Stamford Bridge
Son has admitted he’s been following Spurs’ fight from overseas, watching closely as the team tries to avoid relegation for the first time in nearly 50 years. The former Tottenham captain said he’ll be cheering on his old teammates tonight and is hopeful they can get the result they need in West London.

Speaking to BBC MOTD, Son said: “I’ve been watching Spurs all season, every single game—the results, the highlights, as much as I can. Spurs is still in my heart. I’m supporting them, and I hope they can get a good result against Chelsea and stay in the Premier League. They deserve it. I love them, I love the fans, I love this club.”

De Zerbi insists Spurs will go for the win
Tottenham’s record at Chelsea is dismal—just one win in 33 Premier League visits to Stamford Bridge. A point would almost certainly be enough for Spurs to secure survival, given their 13-goal advantage over West Ham on goal difference.

But De Zerbi has made it clear that Tottenham won’t settle for a draw. He insists his team will go to their rivals’ ground looking to win, not simply to hold on for a point.
