An Arizona woman tragically lost her life following a motorcycle crash near Lake of the Ozarks in the early hours of Sunday. According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 12:20 a.m. on Missouri 242, also known as Horseshoe Bend Parkway, near the Route MM intersection.
The crash involved a motorcycle driven by a 26-year-old man from Phoenix, Arizona. While traveling on the highway, the motorcycle veered off the left side of the road, struck the median, and overturned. This caused his passenger, 35-year-old Larose Spencer, also from Phoenix, to be ejected from the motorcycle. Following this, the bike skidded across the road to the right side and collided with a curb. Both individuals were reported to have been wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries. Tragically, Larose Spencer did not survive the accident.
Authorities are seeking more information regarding the incident and are particularly interested in any details about a vehicle that may have struck Spencer after she was ejected from the motorcycle. Anyone with information is urged to contact Sgt. Tim Fick at 573-751-1000.
This incident represents the 32nd fatal crash reported by Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop F in 2024.
