Toyota Gazoo Racing has recently rewarded one of its key drivers with a contract upgrade, securing multi-year deals for top drivers like Kalle Rovanperä and Elfyn Evans. Rovanperä, who has been with Toyota Gazoo Racing’s World Rally Team (TGR-WRT), signed a contract extension while announcing plans to reduce his schedule in 2024 to recharge after 15 years of rally driving. Evans, heading into his fifth year with the team, has also extended his contract, aiming to build on past successes and continue pushing for victories in the championship.
In the endurance racing scene, Nyck de Vries has also rejoined Toyota’s World Endurance Championship (WEC) Hypercar lineup, taking over the #7 car alongside experienced drivers Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi. This marks de Vries’ return to endurance racing, having served as a test driver for the team in previous seasons.
These moves reflect Toyota Gazoo Racing’s continued commitment to maintaining strong driver lineups across its motorsports teams.
