South Carolina is bolstering its offensive line.
On Monday, the Gamecocks announced they’ve signed Troy transfer offensive lineman Boaz Stanley out of the portal.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Bogart, Georgia native will come to South Carolina with two years of eligibility after starting his college career at Georgia Military College in 2022 then transferring to Troy for two seasons.
With the Trojans in 2024, Stanley started in 12 games — seven at center and five at right tackle. Only allowing two sacks, while not being called for a penatly all season, Pro Football Focus gave Stanley a so-so offensive grade of 59.6 while grading him out better as a run blocker than a pass blocker.
Stanley is the third offensive lineman South Carolina has signed out of the transfer portal so far this offseason, joining Nick Sharpe from Wake Forest and Western Kentucky transfer Rodney Newsom Jr.
