COLUMBIA, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The South Carolina Gamecocks have made their way into the AP Top 25 Poll for the first time since 2022.
After ranked wins against Vanderbilt and Texas A&M, the Gamecocks now hold the 23rd spot.
The Gamecocks are currently on an impressive three-game win streak, and Saturday they will look to make it four against No. 24 Missouri.
South Carolina’s defense is one of the best in the country, averaging 13 points per game during the three game win streak, and have won with a 23.6 point margin in those games.
South Carolina and Missouri have faced each other since 1979.
In the College Football Playoff rankings, South Carolina holds the 21st spot and Missouri holds the 23rd spot.
The Gamecocks have not won against the Tigers since 2018.
South Carolina and Missouri will meet in Williams Brice Stadium on Saturday Nov. 16 at 4:15 p.m. and will air on ESPN.
