NFL> Vikings expected to work out kickers, long snappers due to…….
Left tackle Cam Robinson started for the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night, just a few days after he was acquired in a trade with Jacksonville. Now, the Vikings may need two special teamers to do that this week against Jacksonville.
Rookie kicker Will Reichard had made all 14 of his field goal attempts and 20 extra-point tries this season heading into Minnesota’s game on Sunday night but missed both of his field goal kicks against the Colts and was spotted limping.
Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell confirmed after the game that the rookie sixth-round pick suffered a quad injury. On Monday, the coach said he still wasn’t exactly sure when the injury happened but it was during the game against Indianapolis. “I would imagine that that was a contributing factor in him missing a couple of kicks but he toughed it out and was able to still put the ball in the end zone on a couple of kickoffs and make some extra points, so, tough dude and loves being out there with his teammates and, as you guys know and can tell, his teammates absolutely love him,” O’Connell said.
Told the #Vikings will bring in free agent kickers tomorrow for workouts. Will Reichard is still being evaluated (quad injury).
