A tragic accident led to the death of Cameron Anthony Onjukka, a resident of Gulf Shores, Alabama. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) confirmed that this fatal incident, involving two vehicles, took place on Baldwin County Road 9, approximately five miles south of Summerdale in Baldwin County.
The collision occurred just before 5 p.m. and involved a head-on crash between Onjukka’s 2008 Toyota Avalon and a 2018 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 17-year-old from Mobile. Cameron A. Onjukka, aged 41, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Two other individuals in the Hyundai, including the teenage driver and a passenger, Macy E. Bishop, 20, from Summerdale, sustained injuries. Both were promptly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division has begun an investigation to understand the circumstances and causes behind this tragic accident.
