An anonymous call to police on Wednesday led to authorities finding a dead man inside a Fenwick Street home.
At 6 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to a Fenwick Street home after receiving an anonymous 911 call. There they found a man dead inside the home with “apparent trauma to his body,” according to a press release from the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.
The District Attorney’s Office is terming the death “suspicious.”
In a video statement, Police Chief Lester Baker said the public should not be concerned.
“At this time, there is no reason to believe there is any danger to the public,” he said.
The identity of the dead man was not released. Neither the police nor the District Attorney’s Office provided a full address of where the body was found.
Investigators later executed a search warrant at the home. They did not say what they found.
The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner was performing an autopsy Thursday to determine a cause of death and the man’s identification.
The death is being investigated by the Middlesex District Attorney’s office, the Framingham Police Department and Massachusetts State Police assigned to the District Attorney’s Office.
“Please know that with every case of this nature, the bureau of investigative services is working tirelessly to bring this case to a close,” Baker said in the 40-second video statement.
