During the second annual High School Coaches Clinic, local coaches are inspired by Sean McVay and the Rams position coaches.
The Los Angeles Rams hosted their 2nd annual high school coaches clinic, bringing together the team’s coaching staff and local high school varsity football coaches for a comprehensive day of learning and collaboration.
The clinic, held at the team’s practice facility, kicked off with opening remarks from Rams High School Football Associate Manager Ghalee Wadood. High school coaches then had the opportunity to watch Rams practice and participate in breakout sessions focused on the key aspects of coaching and player development with Rams’ position coaches.
Wadood, a former high school football coach himself, values the impact the event has on coaches of all levels. “I hope they take back something that they really relate to, [something that] matches their team. Not just some great plays and drills, but something that they felt was missing from the team that could fill a gap.”
Rams Defensive Backs Coach and Pass Game Coordinator Aubrey Pleasant expressed his gratitude for high school coaches as they serve a vital role during transformational times in the lives of the athletes they coach. “Being from Flint, MI, my first opportunity coaching was at the high school level. I understand not only the aspirations, but what they go through. I have an extreme special place in my heart for high school coaches, knowing that they’re really helping shape the mindset of young men across this country.”
