“After much thought and consideration, I have decided to step away from football and end my time with the Detroit Lions. This has been one of the toughest decisions of my life, but it’s one that I feel is best for me and my future at this time.
Playing in the NFL has been a dream come true, and I am deeply grateful to the Detroit Lions organization for giving me the opportunity to live that dream. I want to thank my teammates, coaches, and the staff for their support, guidance, and camaraderie throughout my career. Being part of this team has been an honor, and the memories we’ve created together will always hold a special place in my heart.
To the fans, your unwavering passion and loyalty have been a source of inspiration for me. Representing Detroit and playing in front of such incredible supporters has been a privilege, and I will always cherish the connection we’ve shared.
This decision comes from a place of personal reflection. I feel it’s time for me to focus on other aspects of my life and explore opportunities beyond the field. I ask for your understanding and respect as I navigate this new chapter.
