A 52-year-old mother and her two sons drowned in Lake Garda
The bodies of mother and sons were found lifeless, drowned in the waters of Lake Garda.
The bodies of Hanna Shabratska and her sons were found lifeless in the waters of Lake Garda, originally from Ukraine but resident in the municipality of Vallarsa, in Trentino, for about two years. The searches began on the evening of Tuesday 16 July.
The woman’s partner did not see them return after a day at the lake and raised the alarm. The carabinieri of the Riva del Garda company, the Coast Guard, the firefighters with divers and the police intervened on site.
The searches were concentrated in the area between Punta Lido and Spiaggia dei Sabbioni, where mother and son, aged 52 and 19, were seen by cameras entering the water.
First the personal effects were found, then the bodies, at a depth of approximately 15-18 metres. The bodies were taken to the morgue, available to the public prosecutor, who will have to try to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.
