This former Boston Bruins forward has unfortunately suffered an injury.
Former Boston Bruins forward Jaromir Jagr is fifty-two years old, but he still skates. Jagr has set a goal for himself to play in every game for Rytíři Kladno this season in addition to being a player for them in the Czech Extraliga.
Regrettably, Jagr’s prospects of accomplishing this objective are now jeopardized. The celebrity said on his own Instagram page that he will be out for three to six weeks due to a hamstring tear.
Jagr could play in Kladno’s season-opening game on September 18 against Dynamo Pardubice if he heals in three weeks. He would, regrettably, have to miss the season opening and more if he is not cleared to play until the six-week point. In the video, Jagr described how he was hurt. Derek O’Brien of The Hockey News International transcribed his comments.
“The physiotherapist Pavel Kolář cautioned me against doing anything that my body is not acclimated to when I mentioned to him that I would like to exercise properly. Naturally, I disregarded him. I went jogging. Usually straight sprints, not the uphill ones I used to perform. However, I injured my hamstring by placing weights on my ankles.”
Hearing about Jagr’s injury is very upsetting, especially because he intends to play the entire season for the team. Let’s hope he heals quickly and encounters no difficulties along the road. During the 2012–13 season, Jagr played in 11 regular-season games for the Bruins, scoring two goals and nine points. In 22 games for the Bruins during their 2013 playoff run, he also registered 10 assists. Jagr recorded 766 goals, 1,155 assists, and 1,921 points in 1,733 career NHL games played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Washington Capitals, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, Dallas Stars, Bruins, New Jersey Devils, Florida Panthers, and Calgary Flames.
