The Jacksonville Jaguars are bringing in Tanner Muse, as reported by NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero. Muse is a linebacker with four years of NFL experience, originally from Clemson, and was selected in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Las Vegas Raiders.
Muse’s rookie year was derailed by a preseason injury, landing him on injured reserve and causing him to miss the entire season. The Raiders waived him in 2021.
Later that year, Muse joined the Seattle Seahawks, where he spent two seasons before moving to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He most recently played for the Los Angeles Chargers last season.
Muse is primarily recognized for his contributions on special teams. Throughout his career, he has played in 33 games and accumulated 22 total tackles. In 2022, he achieved a personal best with 11 solo tackles.
The Jaguars did not need to make any additional roster moves to accommodate Muse’s signing, as they had already waived kicker Riley Patterson on Monday night.
