The star of the Boston Celtics, Jaylen Brown, has shared his opinions on who he believes should prevail in the close competition for WNBA Rookie of the Year.
Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky or Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever are the favorites to win the honor.
Many NBA players, including Brown, were questioned by “House of Highlights” on who they would pick to win the league’s Rookie of the Year award.
Both Brown and fellow NBA player Immanuel Quickley think Reese ought to win ROY.
They’re not alone, though, as Reese has the support of other well-known basketball players, including USC standout Juju Watkins and South Carolina coach Dawn Staley..
Going into the Olympic break, both players were playing quite well, so the race between them should be close.
In addition to leading the league in assists with 8.2 per game on 40.5 percent shooting from the field, Clark is averaging 17.1 points (T-11 in the league), 5.8 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game.
With just under half of her rookie year remaining, Clark has now broken the record for the most turnovers in a season.
Reese, meanwhile, leads the league in rebounds per game (12.5) and averages a double-double (13.5 points). Her field goal percentage is 40.2%.
With 15 double-doubles in just her debut season, Reese also set a record this season for the most consecutive double-doubles.
